State Code-Brewery Code-Catalog Number Size Sides Rarity Code
Date
Please let me know if you are having any problems accessing any of the features on this site or are having any display problems.
The below information should resolve all of the known issues
State Code: Two letter abbreviation for the state
Brewery Code: Where possible, I used the first few letters of the brewery name
Catalog Number: Sequence number within the brewery, a lower number does not always indicate a coaster was produced before
or after a higher number. It is based on when the coaster was submitted to the guides. Catalog numbers could also contain letters
if the coaster is part of a very similar 'set' of coasters AND it was known to be part of a set when Catalog Numbers are assigned
Size: Inches or in some cases fraction of an inches. The Anheuser Busch Bud coasters are in centimeters to make it easier to
identify those minor size differences
Sides: 1/0 - One sided coaster
..........1/1 - Two sided coaster, sides the same (different color considered a 1/2 coaster)
..........1/2 - Two sided coaster, sides are different
This site has been validated on IE ver. 6 (not recommended), 7 & 8. Mozilla Firefox version 3.6.13. Opera 11.01 & Google
Chrome 9.0.597.98
Rarity Code: 5 - Rare coaster, very few are known to exist
...................4 - A very hard coaster to find, surfaces occasionally at auctions or trade shows
...................3 - Tough coaster to find but most serious collectors will have it
...................2 - Can be found at most trade shows that have a decent amount of coasters
...................1 - At almost all brewery shows and at times can still be found at bars, beer festivals or general trading
Note - The rarity indicator is an interpretation of how often collectors have seen the coaster available. It should not be used
solely for pricing since sleeves of rare coasters sometimes 'magically' appear that devalues the coaster significantly
Various screen resolutions have been tested and 1280 x 1024 is recommended. It does display on all other screen resolutions
even 800 x 600
Date: Date when the coaster was added to the guide or an approximate date based on a hand-written date on the coaster
When multiple dates are identified along with a different Catalog Number, this indicates that there are different dates printed on
the coaster
Starting in February 2011 and when identified by the submitter, a (c) before the date indicates a date is printed on the coaster.
Therefore a "(c) 2011" "2011" would have different semantics. Without the (c) indicates a when the date was added to the
guides. As always there are exceptions and not 100% accurate.
Most display issues can be resolved by checking your zoom level and font size
Zoom level by far has been the single biggest problem identified to date. On IE look at the lower right corner of your screen, the
zoom level must be 100%. All other levels (higher or lower) will cause your information to overlap
Font Size will also cause problems with your display:
Windows XP
Go to your Desktop, right-click it, and select Properties. Next, click the Settings tab and press the Advanced button. You will now
see a DPI setting. If it is set to Large/120 DPI, set it to Normal/96
Windows Vista
Go to your Desktop, right-click it, and select Personalize. Select Adjust Font Size (DPI), located in the upper left-hand corner of the
window. This will display the DPI setting. If it is set to Large/120 DPI, set it to Normal/96 DPI
Windows 7
Go to your Desktop, right-click it, and select Personalize. Select Display, located in the lower left-hand corner of the window. Then
select Set Custom Text Size (DPI). This displays the DPI setting. If it is set to Large/120 DPI (125%), set it to Normal/96 DPI
(100%)
Additionally, some Windows 7 themes change the default fonts to a nonstandard one, causing the issue described here. Change
your theme back to the standard Windows 7 theme and see if that helps
If none of the above resolves your issue with the display or with this site, please contact me via my email (not found on this site) or
use the contact form found on the above navigation bar. I will try and help finding the problem and making any necessary
corrections.
